The annual Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance is just around the corner. Fathers will dance the afternoon away with their little girl(s) and make a memory that will last forever. We’ve even seen grandpa’s bringing their loved ones.
I’d like to share a few things we’ve observed over the years. Little girls dressed in their pretty party dresses with many wearing a cute little wrist corsage given to them by their fathers. Some girls have their hair and nails done. Some have even come in a limo!
We’ve seen the dance floor filled at all times. Dads and their little ones dancing to some great songs. And how cute is it to see them slow dancing! Imagine a 4 year old with her head on daddy’s shoulder while they sway to the music. And we can’t forget the older girls showing dad how to do the latest moves!
We’ve had fathers be pulled aside to do their rendition of the YMCA. Oh the laughter that has brought! Be prepared to dance the afternoon away with our sponsor DJ from Tonight’s Stars Entertainment.
Of course the highlight is the dessert table! Our volunteers make the best sweet treats that have been a big hit with everyone attending!
We have some new changes this year:
This year the Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance will be Sunday, February 22nd, at the Manhattan Country Club 1531 North 10th Street from 2-4pm. PLEAS NOTE this is a new location this year! Our big thanks to the Manhattan Country Club for providing this venue for us.
We will have THREE photo prop stations to capture the special day. Dads bring your cameras/cell phone and we’ll take your personal picture. In addition, a photographer will be at each of the stations and those photos will be posted on our Facebook page. We hope this will give the girls more time to dance with better chances for photos!
Tickets are on sale now at the Manhattan Town Center Mall customer service desk (located by Bath and Body). Tickets are $15 for fathers and $10 each for girls ages 3-12. Tickets are limited this year so be sure to go to the mall and get yours early!
